Dr Nathan Creber
Ear, Nose & Throat Surgeon
Otologist & Neurotologist
MBBS, BAdvSc(Hons), MPH, MS, PGCertMedEd, FRACS(OHNS), PhD.
Dr Nathan Creber is an ear, nose and throat surgeon, otologist and neurotologist. He is also an academic surgeon and member of the Sydney HEAR Research Alliance. He is lead of the Sydney Hearing Research Laboratory at the Sydney University. His research interests include hearing preservation, cochlear implant surgery, hearing rehabilitation, regenerative and medical therapies to the inner ear. He holds both national and international research grants and supervises higher degree research students.
Dr Creber has a PhD in cochlear implant surgery and hearing preservation, a Bachelor of Advanced Science with honours in neuroanatomy, a Masters of Surgery specialising in Anatomy and a Masters of Public Health with a focus on middle ear disease and biostatistics. He has also completed a postgraduate degree in Medical education at Cambridge University.
Dr Creber is dual international fellowship trained with a year's fellowship in hearing implants and a second fellowship in skull base surgery at Cambridge University. He performs outreach to Tamworth as well as providing a service to the Bourke and Brewarrina Aboriginal Medical Service.

Jo Asztalos
Audiometrist & Speech Pathologist
BA (Ling), MSLP, MSPA, CPSP
Joanne is a dual-qualified Audiometrist and Speech Pathologist with extensive experience in both paediatric and adult diagnostic testing. She has a diploma in Audiometry and a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She is a member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and the Australian College of Audiology (ACAUD).
Joanne has expertise in both paediatric and adult Audiology and sees patients of all ages. She offers the following services:

Hearing tests – all are reported on the day of testing and a copy is provided to the patient.

Assessment of candidacy for hearing aids, as well as fitting, sales and after-sales support.

Tympanometry to assess Eustachian tube function and safety to fly or dive (these patients are normally required to see an ENT Specialist in addition to Audiology testing).

Speech discrimination testing and acoustic reflexes.

Professional and custom fit ear plugs for swimming or noise reduction – Joanne receives numerous referrals from the Australian Defence Force due to the high quality of her plugs, excellent service and fitting and quick turnaround time.
Patients can be referred directly to Joanne if they don't need an ENT assessment. All her hearing tests are reviewed by Dr Nathan Creber.

If hearing aids are recommended, we guide you through the options and ensure a precise, personalised strategy. We focus on providing measured advice with a range of options to enable accessibility for all patients

Your Appointment
From your first visit, you’ll receive coordinated care from our multidisciplinary team. We’ll explain each step, answer your questions, and ensure you feel informed and confident in your treatment plan. Medicare rebates available with a current Doctor’s referral.

FOR DOCTORS & PROVIDERS
We welcome referrals for adult and paediatric patients requiring assessment and management of hearing loss, vertigo and complex ear disorders. You have the option of requesting a visit only for audiology and the hearing test, or combined with a surgical consultation, depending on your patients needs.
